Description:
In Ancient Terrible Things, a pulp horror game for 2-4 players, you play as adventurers exploring a dark jungle river. Each turn, you visit a Fateful Location, face an Ominous Encounter, and attempt to unlock Ancient Secrets using dice combinations (runs, pairs, or high numbers) and resource tokens (Focus, Courage, Treasure, Feat). Success adds Secrets to your score; failure unleashes Terrible Things, reducing your score. Tokens enable dice re-rolls, encounter boosts, or powerful card effects. The player with the most Ancient Secrets by the game’s end, triggered by the Unspeakable Event, wins.
