Players must carefully manage limited space on their manuscript while deciding when to continue gathering resources or “turn the page” to score completed work, unlock lasting abilities, and build a stronger engine for future turns. As resources run out, the abbot advances the game toward its end, and if pushed too far, he may force players to move on before they are ready. With simple rules but deep tactical decisions, Inkwell offers a rewarding experience for both groups and solo players while celebrating the art of historical manuscript creation.
