Description:
ICE is set in a frozen, blizzard-swept world where a lone city survives and its guilds send summer expeditions into the valley of the ancient ones, hoping to uncover remnants of a lost antediluvian civilization, each guild driven by its own motives of answers, prestige, or riches. Players act as archeologists digging through five layers of removable tiles: ice sheet, surface artifacts, intermediate artifacts, deep artifacts, and finally the edifice level. Collecting artifacts earns reputation points, and ice sheet tiles a player removes can later be used as helpful actions for them. The edifice tiles introduce game-changing rules and serve as legacy-style content revealed as play progresses. The game ends when the first edifice tile is fully discovered, and the player with the most reputation points wins.
